INGREDIENTS:
500g mince beef
700g passata
400g tin of diced tomatoes
1 cup of water
1 large onion, diced
1 large carrot, diced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
3-5 basil leaves, finely chopped
3 tbsp olive oil
500g spaghetti
50g parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp ground pepper
METHOD:
Step 1: Heat oil in a large non-stick fry pan over low-medium heat.
Step 2: Gently fry mince with onion, carrot and garlic, until browned.
Step 3: Add passata, diced tomatoes, water, basil, salt and pepper.
Step 4: Simmer over a low heat for 30-40 minutes.
Step 5: Meanwhile, cook spaghetti until Al dente (see packet instructions) and drain.
Step 6: Remove fry-pan from heat. Toss spaghetti through Bolognese sauce and coat well.
Step 7: Serve Spaghetti Bolognese in a bowl, with a sprinkle of grated parmesan.
