Sausage Rolls

PREP TIME: 15min

COOK TIME: 35min SERVES: 8-10

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1kg beef mince

  • 10 puff pastry sheets, frozen

  • 1 small onion

  • 1 carrot

  • 1 potato

  • 2 celery sticks

  • 1 small zucchini

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • ¼ cup milk

  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

METHOD:

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 180°C.

  • Step 2: Take puff pastry sheets out of freezer to thaw.

  • Step 3: Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  • Step 4: Peel and wash vegetables.

  • Step 5: Place all the vegetables into a food processor and process together to form a fine shred.

  • Step 6: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded vegetables, beef mince, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Mix together well.

  • Step 7: On a flat work space, lay one sheet of puff pastry out and cut it in half.
