Mac n Cheese

  • 500g macaroni pasta

  • 1 litre water

  • 50g butter

  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • ½ cup Parmesan, finely grated

  • Salt

  • Pepper


  • Step 1: Place water in a large saucepan.

  • Step 2: Salt the water with 1 teaspoon of salt and bring the salted water to boil.

  • Step 3: Once boiling, add the macaroni and cook until al dente (See packet instructions).

  • Step 4: In a smaller saucepan, add the butter, flour and milk. Place over low heat and stir until it comes to boil.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat. Mix in mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and stir well to form a creamy cheese sauce.

  • Step 6: Season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper.

  • Step 7: Drain the pasta and return back to its saucepan.

  • Step 8: Add the cheese sauce to the pasta. Mix well to coat and serve.
