Grilled Lamb Pitas

PREP TIME: 20min

COOK TIME: 20min SERVES: 6

INGREDIENTS:

Patties

  • 500g lamb mince

  • 1 onion, grated

  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp ground paprika

  • 1 tbsp ground coriander

  • 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes

  • ½ tsp salt¼ tsp ground pepper

  • Spray olive oil

Salad

  • 100g sliced Kalamata olives

  • 1 Cucumber, sliced

  • 1 coz lettuce, shredded

  • 10g mint leaves, chopped

  • ¼ red onion, finely diced

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • ¼ cup balsamic

  • ¼ cup lemon juice

  • ½ tsp salt

Serve with


METHOD:

  • Step 1: Combine all patty ingredients in a mixing bowl. Use your hands to mix all ingredients together.

  • Step 2: Divide the patty mixture into 8 balls and slightly flatten to form a patty shape.

  • Step 3: Spray each patty with oil and grill on a hotplate or bbq.

  • Step 4: Cook patties for 15-20 minutes or until lamb is cooked through.

  • Step 5: Serve in pita pocket, with salad and Tzatziki dip.
