Egg & Chunky Soldiers

PREP TIME: 5min

COOK TIME: 5min SERVES: 1

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 free-range egg

  • 1 thick slice wholemeal bread

  • Butter


METHOD:

  • Step 1: Gently place the egg into a saucepan of boiling water.

  • Step 2: Boil the egg for exactly 4 minutes.

  • Step 3: Carefully remove the boiled egg from saucepan and place into an egg cup.

  • Step 4: With a knife slice the top off the egg.

  • Step 5: Toast the slice of bread.

  • Step 6: Butter the toast.

  • Step 7: Chop the crusts off the toast.

  • Step 8: Cut the toast into 2cm strips.

  • Step 9: Serve the toast strips alongside the egg cup, for dipping and soaking up the egg yolk.
