10g chives, chopped
1 tbsp butter, divided
¾ cup milk
½ teaspoon salt
8 slices of bread
Step 1: Beat eggs, milk, chives and salt in a mixing bowl and set mixture aside.
Step 2: Use a Christmas cookie cutter to cut a large Christmas shape into the centre of each slice of bread.
Step 3: Heat a large nonstick frying pan over low heat and melt ½ tablespoon of butter evenly around the pan.
Step 4: Place four slices of bread into the buttered pan, (shape side facing upwards).
Step 5: Pour egg mixture into the shape holes of the bread.
(keep half of the egg mixture aside for the remaining four slices).
Step 6: Cook each bread slice until egg sets a bit on the bottom (approximately 1 minute) and then flip over with a spatula.
Step 7: Cook until egg completely sets and bread is golden brown.
Step 8: Repeat cooking process with remaining slices of bread, butter and egg mixture.
Step 9: Serve.
