200g dark chocolate melts
1 tbsp orange zest
½ cup cocoa powder
⅔ cup plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 ⅓ cup caster sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup candy melts, green
½ cup star shaped sprinkles
Step 1: Preheat oven to 180°C
Step 2: Line a 24cm round cake pan with baking paper.
Step 3: Combine the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, orange zest and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Step 4: Add the beaten egg and mix until smooth.
Step 5: In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the chocolate melts and the butter for 60 seconds. Add the melted butter and chocolate to the mixing bowl. Mix together until silky.
Step 6: Pour the brownie mix into the cake pan and cook until brownie is springy on the outer and slightly gooey inside (approximately 25 minutes).
Step 7: Allow brownie to cool and then transfer to a flat board. Cut the brownie into 12 triangle wedges.
Step 8: Insert a festive coloured paper straw into the base of each triangle.
Step 9: In another microwave safe bowl, microwave the candy melts for 60 seconds. Stir the melted candy until a smooth consistency forms.
Step 10: With a spoon,drizzle the melted candy over the triangles in a zigzag pattern, to resemble xmas tree tinsel.
Step 11: Decorate with star sprinkles and serve.
