INGREDIENTS:
Chocolate Cake
100g butter, melted
2 cups caster sugar
4 cups self rising flour
2 cup milk
6 tbsp cocoa
2 tsp vanilla essence
4 eggs
Spray oil
Chocolate Icing
3 cups icing sugar
1/2 cup milk
4 tbsp cocoa
400g chocolate finger biscuits
300g chocolate melts
150g coloured chocolate buttons
METHOD:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 180°C.
Step 2: Grease a 24cm round cake pan with spray oil.
Step 3: Combine the butter, sugar, flour and milk in a large mixing bowl. Mix together well.
Step 4: Add the vanilla essence and the cocoa and beat mixture until smooth.
Step 5: Pour mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Step 6: Allow the cake to cool on a cooling rack before icing.
Step 7: Prepare the icing by mixing icing sugar, cocoa and milk together, until smooth.
Step 8: With a spatula evenly spread the icing over the top of the cake and around the sides.
Step 9: Decorate the sides of the cake with chocolate fingers and the top of the cake with chocolate melts and chocolate buttons.
