500g beef mince
8 Brioche buns
2 tbsp ground oregano
1 tbsp garlic, minced
¾ cup breadcrumbs
½ cup milk
1 ½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground pepper
8 slices cheddar cheese
1 pickle, sliced (optional)
Butter to spread
Step 1: Place the Brioche buns sliced open on an oven proof tray.
Step 2: Toast buns under the grill until nicely golden.
Step 3: Butter each bun and set aside.
Step 4: Combine the mince, oregano, garlic, milk, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Use hands to mix all ingredients together.
Step 5: Divide the mixture into 8 patties.
Step 6: Spray each pattie with oil and grill on a hotplate or bbq.
Step 7: Cook patties for 3 minutes on each side. Then place a slice of cheese on top of each patty and grill for 1 minute more.
Step 8: When beef is cooked through, remove cheese patties from grill and place in buns.
Step 9: Add a dollop of tomato sauce and 1 slice of pickle to each burger before serving.
