Cheeseburgers

INGREDIENTS:

  • 500g beef mince

  • 8 Brioche buns

  • 2 tbsp ground oregano

  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced

  • ¾  cup breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp ground pepper

  • 8 slices cheddar cheese

  • 1 pickle, sliced (optional)

  • Butter to spread

  • Tomato sauce


METHOD:

  • Step 1: Place the Brioche buns sliced open on an oven proof tray.

  • Step 2: Toast buns under the grill until nicely golden.

  • Step 3: Butter each bun and set aside.

  • Step 4: Combine the mince, oregano, garlic, milk, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Use hands to mix all ingredients together.

  • Step 5: Divide the mixture into 8 patties.

  • Step 6: Spray each pattie with oil and grill on a hotplate or bbq.

  • Step 7: Cook patties for 3 minutes on each side. Then place a slice of cheese on top of each patty and grill for 1 minute more.

  • Step 8: When beef is cooked through, remove cheese patties from grill and place in buns.

  • Step 9: Add a dollop of tomato sauce and 1 slice of pickle to each burger before serving.
