Butter Corn Cob

PREP TIME: 5min

COOK TIME: 15min SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cobs of corn

  • 8 flat bamboo skewers

  • 1 litre of water

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp parsley, dried (optional)

  • ½ tsp salt


METHOD:

  • Step 1: Remove silk and husks off corn

  • Step 2: Break cobs in half and place all 8 pieces into a large saucepan. Cover corn with cold water.

  • Step 3: Place saucepan on medium heat and bring to boil.

  • Step 4: Lower heat and simmer corn for a further 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Drain corn and leave to cool slightly

  • Step 6: Insert bamboo skewers at one end.

  • Step 7: In a small bowl, mash butter, parsley (optional) and salt together with a fork.

  • Step 8: Brush corn with the seasoned butter and serve.
