Baked Falafels

PREP TIME: 15min

COOK TIME: 25min SERVES: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 400g tinned chickpeas

  • 250g frozen broad beans

  • 1 onion, finely diced

  • 1 ½ tsp cumin powder

  • 1 ½ tsp ground coriander

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp plain flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp ground pepper

  • Spray olive oil


METHOD:

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 200°C.

  • Step 2: Line a large baking tray with baking paper and spray oil.

  • Step 3: Place all ingredients in a food processor to form a smooth paste.

  • Step 4: Roll the paste into 12 balls and place the balls on the baking tray.

  • Step 5: Lightly spray the falafels with spray oil and bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
