500g macaroni pasta
150g bacon, shredded
1 litre water
2 cups milk
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
2 tbsp flour
1 garlic clove, minced
½ cup Parmesan, finely grated
Spray olive oil
Step 1: Preheat oven to 180°C and line a large baking dish with spray oil.
Step 2: Place water in a large saucepan.
Step 3: Salt the water with 1 teaspoon of salt and bring the salted water to boil.
Step 4: Once boiling, add the macaroni and cook until Al dente (See packet instructions).
Step 5: In a smaller saucepan, add the butter, flour and milk. Place over low heat and stir until it comes to boil.
Step 6: Remove from heat. Mix in the mozzarella, parmesan, minced garlic and shredded bacon. Stir well to form a creamy cheese sauce.
Step 7: Season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper.
Step 8: Drain the pasta and return back to its saucepan.
Step 9: Add the cheese sauce to the pasta. Mix well to coat and pour all ingredients into the baking dish. Cover the dish with foil.
Step 10: Bake for 20 minutes covered. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes uncovered.
