Apple Crumble

INGREDIENTS:


Filling

  • 4 apples, peeled, cored and diced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 3 tbsp caster sugar

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp water

Crumble

  • 1 cup plain flour

  • ½ caster sugar

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • 200g unsalted butter melted

  • 3/4 cup rolled oats


METHOD:

  • Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 180°C.

  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl combine apple, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon and water. Mix together well.

  • Step 3: Pour apple filling into a large baking dish.

  • Step 4: Create crumble by placing flour, sugar, cinnamon, oats and butter into the empty mixing bowl. Stir together to combine.

  • Step 5: Spoon crumble mixture over apple filling and bake for 40 minutes or until golden.
